Robert Emmett Bowen III 1965-2010
Great bassist, friend, father
Bob Bowen is a much beloved bassist who hailed from Dayton, OH. He played on the Cincinnati jazz scene for many years before relocating to New York City in 1995 where he has had a great career. He was involved in a motor vehicle accident last week and died on Monday, August 30. A fund has been set up to help Bob's family, which includes his wife and two small children, Stella and Bobby. The Blue Wisp will post information on how to contribute to that fund and will hold a fundraiser in the future.
